If that wasn’t enough, her powers have started to expand exponentially. Kennan is keeping secrets. Moreover, a strangely familiar Symbol-smith starts wreaking havoc on her precariously balanced world.

This book definitely surpassed the first book. It started out a little bit slow but when the mystery started, I couldn’t put down the book. I would have liked it better if Izzy wasn’t as reluctant as she was in the beginning. The constant whining and complaining may be lessened to have a better, more adorable heroine. The characters of Ian and Molly are still very likable but having Conall and Aberto was really very cool. They added mystery and character to the story. Overall, this was a very good read. And I’m looking forward for the next book!
