The sequel to Lizzy Ford’s smash hit “Katie’s Hellion” has finally arrived and is available from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iTunes, and Smashwords for your Kindle, Nook, iPad, Kobo or eReader.
Three weeks after leaving Rhyn, Katie learns the Immortals have no intention of letting her go despite her deal with their leader. Rhyn discovers he can only protect her if he accepts his place among the Immortals. However, doing so may cost him the only thing that matters. Meanwhile, demons are closing in, and Death orders Katie killed. Death’s assassin and the demons pursue them, and Katie will have to choose between Death or Hell to save Rhyn from both.

Love, love, LOVE that cover, Lizzy.
Woohoo, thank you Shea!
And thanks for allowing me to include an excerpt from your book, Kissed by Darkness, in Katie’s Hope!
I found Lizzy through Damian’s Oracle, and after I read it I thought there is no way she can top this. Then I read Damian’s Assasin and afterwards thought wow she topped herself but there is no way she could do better than this. Then I read Katie’s Hellion and as much as I loved Damian and Sophie, I loved Katie and Rhyn more. Mostly because I identified with them so much. They are outcasts who are totally misunderstood and even when they do the right thing, people see it as the wrong thing, but I knew there was no way Lizzy could top herself after Katie’s Hellion.
Until today. OMG!! Katie’s Hope is by far the best of your work to date. But the ending?! Talk about a cliffhanger. I can still feel my heart pounding in my chest. Not only did you top yourself with this one, but you went to a totally different galaxy!!
Where have you been, Noor? You used to provide such insightful feedback and then you disappeared!
I’m glad you didn’t stop reading my books, and I’m so happy you enjoyed this one! I like Katie and Rhyn, too, because they’re flawed but not bad people. I love exploring the shades of gray with life and choices and people … like Rhyn says, sometimes you only have bad choices to make! It’s so true; I’ve felt that way many times before. I loved making his character, because he’s misunderstood by everyone and wants to do what’s right but is – due to his nature and an abusive life – stymied in his efforts despite his best intentions. I think everyone feels that way at some point … Lizzy
Nooooooooooooooooooooo! I cannot possibly wait until March to find out what happens in Katie’s Hope!!!!
after Katie’s Hope even!
Hi Charlotte! Haha … glad you enjoyed Katie’s Hope. Don’t worry – I have a few more books coming out between now and March!!
Lizzy
. . . I’m leaving this website and not coming back until the “12-month challenge” is over. At least that way I’ll be able to read whole series at once. >.>
Lizzy, you’re being just plain mean making the books like this, more like novellas in one large story rather than books in their own rights- and then making us wait months and months for another 2-hour fix. (It takes me 2 hours to read, anyway. Obsessively.) It’s abominable, woman! I already feel the withdrawal coming on…
“Katie’s Hope” was breathtakingly beautiful, and extremely well-written. Your work improves with every book, Mrs. Ford. Although I find it sadistic, your build-up of tension and the baited-breath feeling at the ends of the stories is masterfully executed. I’ll be waiting anxiously for *months* for the conclusion of the series.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go lay down and wallow in self-pity for a while because I want to know what happens to Rhyn and Katie and… others (spoiler evasion, lolz!).
Thanks for another truly entertaining read!
Hi Krystyna! Haha … cute about not coming back until the 12 12 is over! You know, Stephen King used this same technique for releasing books in installments rather than in one whole book.
I see why, too. The books are just the right size for an afternoon read but keep people interested and engaged in the storyline.
And thank you thank you thank you – I’m working hard to improve my writing as I go along this year! I’m happy it’s showing in the books.
Don’t worry – you’ll have other Lizzy books to read between now and March!!!
Lizzy
ohh lizzy..why-oh-why do you have to end the story like that?.i feel like going to a cliff and jump..lol..it will be eons before we’ll know what happened to rhyn and katie..can you atleast release the third book by december?.and make it longer?.please?.ohh..this is sweet agony..anyways..way to go lizzy..i super duper love K’s Hope..i just wish you will release the third book sooner..:)..thanks for this great story..:)
Hi Kristzel! You’re welcome – so happy you liked it! My schedule is pretty packed, so I don’t think I can move up the release. I’m releasing the third book in the Damian series in Dec and launching a new trilogy … Yes, I think book three in the Rhyn Trilogy will be longer. Book 2 set up everything for book 3 …
The feedback has been awesome so far for K’s Hope. I’m so happy – I was really nervous about it, because the expectations were so high!!!! Lizzy
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! Why March????? Please Lizzy release Rhyn’s Redemption… I don’t know.. TOMORROW LOL….. Please pretty please make the release this year at least…. Thank you
Hi Lourdes! Yay – glad you loved it!! So sorry about March! I’ve got three more books slated for this year and the re-release of the first two in the Damian series, so early next year was the soonest I could schedule the time to write!!
It’ll be here quickly, so don’t worry! Lizzy
Alright!!!! LOL…. I just have to wait or read them again
Thanks
I was jumping in my seat when I found Katie’s Hope and I just was like WOW!
talk about a BIG cliffhanger at the end. I’ll probably go mad in a week waiting for the last book in the Trilogy. Katie’s Hope was so so so (x gazillion) goooooood. -sighs- Hurry up March!!!!!!!!!!! I’m going mad already and it’s only been 10minutes!
Hi Jess! Hang in there!!! I’m releasing another Damian book in Dec, so there’s something to read between now and March!! I’m happy you enjoyed it!!!! Lizzy
Lizzy Lizzy Lizzy!!!!! Why so cruel???????????????? AWWW i literally growled in frustration when this book ended!!!! I hate cliffhangers!!! I cant wait till March to finish this series!!!!! Such a great book… I wanna cry now.
Oh yeah what that about Rhyn’s Origins?
Hi Kandice! Don’t cry!!!! I’ll have another Damian book out in December, so you’ll have something else to read before then!! The Rhyn Trilogy: Origins short story will be out as part of a Halloween collection with a few other writers. It should be released in about a week or so …
Lizzy
Unable to download. Can you read Katies hope anywhere else?
Were you able to download it, Jennifer??
( Smashwords had issues yesterday … :-/
Omg I can’t believe you ended it right there! I’m on pins and needles now! Awesome second book can’t wait for the third!
Thank you, Fatna! I’m glad you enjoyed it!!! I’ll have another Damian book coming out in Dec to tide you over til March!! Lizzy
At the risk of being repetitious- WOW, OMG, and HOW dare you leave us in such suspense until March?!?!
I found K’s Hellion and LOVED it!! Since then, I’ve obsessively burned through everything else I could find to keep myself busy while waiting for K’s Hope ( including Maddie and Damian’s books, where I beg of you to please explain the deal with Yevette and the dogs??) Rhyn’s book just wont get here fast enough, but look forward to filling the time with Rhyn: origins and whatever else you have up your sleeve. I’m sure they’ll all be as wonderful as the rest. You have such an amazing talent, thank you!!
You’re welcome, Cilla, and I’m happy you’ve enjoyed the books.
I know, I know – March might as well be a million years away. Ha! I want to make sure the last Rhyn book and the last Damian book are both really strong, so I’m going to take more time to write them! But no worries – I’ll have a couple more coming out between now and then. And Rhyn Trilogy: Origins is now available as part of a Halloween collection with the work of some other awesome indie writers. It’s free at Smashwords! Yay! Lizzy
OMG! Once again you have out done yourself Miss Lizzy. This is definitely a great book book but damn I don’t know how I’m going to hold out to next year.
PS I just bought Shea’s 2 books that excerpt in your book got me hooked, thank you.
That’s awesome, Kim! I hope you enjoy Shea’s books – she has another one coming out in December.
She’s a neat lady! And thank you – I’m happy you’ve enjoyed all my books!!! I see your reviews on Smashwords – thanks for leaving them!!!!
Don’t worry – March will be here before you know it. Lizzy
OK, here’s how bad it is. I downloaded Katie’s Hope last night to my Kindle right before I went to bed. Then this morning, sitting at my desk at work I downloaded the Kindle app for PC’s to my computer here so I could read whenever I get a second…(OMG I have it minimized right now while I am commenting!!) I’m halfway through and I am already enjoying it as much as Katie’s Hellion. I’ll pop over to amazon and leave a review when I am finished…just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying it so far!
HI Katie! Haha – awesome about reading it at work!! I’ve had a few people tell me they did that this week. Cracks me up!!
One day, I’ll get some hate email from some bosses! Haha! Thanks so much for the review – I have tons on iBooks and BN but very few on Amazon, which is so odd!! I’m happy you’re enjoying the books. Don’t get caught! Haha! Lizzy
OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!! i SIMPLY can not wait till march or ill go insane. REALLY loved K’s hope n like ALL the rest of your books, this one too made me up all night n read it all at once:D i felt so connected to so much stuff in it like apart from the character of Rhyn, it felt so….connected, how there were occasions when it really seemed that good fate is NOT the thing for everyone, like everyone says it is n how sometimes all the choices we have arent good…all of it happens to me ALL the tie, literally….n thats what i admire most of your books Lizzy, that you put the the real stuff in life that sucks sometimes in your books….makes one look differently to the outcomes in life:) my best wishes are always with you n may you be so much more successful that you could have imagined:) tc:)
Hahahaha! I’ve been waiting for your reaction to the book! Sorry to keep you up all night!! It’s so true though – sometimes life hands us two awful choices, and we still have to pick one.
Been there, done that (tons of times! ha!) But the important thing I try to convey too in my books is that – as much as life sucks sometimes – you still have to hope and strive for the best … Take care, and I’m happy you liked it!!! Lizzy
no its fine Lizzy that i was up all night n stuff cos mostly, as im a crazy nutcase for books n all, i mostly read em all at once, no matter if they are some 5oo-page-book, like some Ive read by Dan Brown…n i have also been there where you just see two awful choices and are forced to rely on one…actually, that is ALWAYS the case with me n i guess im just so used to it now that i don’t really mind it but instead try to make the better outta most of it:) which is really helpful you know…n always remember, no matter how other ppl would think of your books, ill ALWAYS like them, no matter what…i feel VERY connected to them n other than that, books are my only friends and my best friends are the ones that touch some part of me and teach me some lesson…like your books:D i mean literally, after reading your work, i have had some awful situations n got through them with luck only n had some good stuff in store for me after that n if ti wasn’t for your work that Ive read so far, i would have never realized it- that good stuff always comes no matter how hard the way seems at first:) even when i grow old and walk with a stick in my hand, ill never forget that ppl like you n with a talent such as yours still exist in this wacky world:) tc:)
P.S. don’t get confused or anything cos of my name n all cos its still me, Hareem, but Ive changed my name[for the 3rd time, to be precise] as Hareem doesn’t mean anything quite clearly whereas, speaking religiously, the meaning of Rayan is actually the name of a door in heaven through which the sincere ppl who have fasted just in the true name of God will pass through at the day of Judgement…so i guess its a much better name n like they say, names do have a effect on the person:)
Wow – that’s awesome that my books have helped you with some stuff in life. It took me YEARS to realize that there is something good that can be found in most things in life, and that lesson was AWFUL to learn! You have to go through very bad things to learn it, and I don’t wish that on anyone.
And dont’ worry – I call my characters my imaginary friends, so you’re not the only one who finds friends in books! And Rayan is closer to Rhyn! Lizzy
We can even learn from the way birds fly around in the sky, if only we look deeper and concentrate hard enough on our surroundings but yes, your books are an amazing lesson class for me where i get lost n learn so much in that class:D and yes, life doesn’t appear in all its marvelous bloom before us that easy; it takes one’s whole courage and potential to go thru stuff n find something out after the dark tunnels of life end…i guess God just wants us to learn everything the hard way so that we don’t hinder from that path easily:) besides, it also depends how we view stuff that makes it look either good or bad or easy or hard for us… LOL about d name thingy….even i noticed it when i 1st started reading the Rhyn series:D made me like the character more:P have to say, its AMAZING how you create your characters with all their unique habits n lifestyles, specially Rhyn:) reading about them makes me feel as if I’ve known them for like years:P oh n good luck with all the other books that you’ll be releasing cos i realized it must not be that easy to write so much when you also will be editing the Damian series n all…good luck with all of it:D
Thank you, Rayan!! Stay strong, and you’re right – God wants us to learn as we go. Makes us all the stronger!
And you’re totally welcome – it does take a lot of time to write books, and sometimes I do get discouraged or exhausted, but I find my inspiration in the comments and feedback readers like you leave. So, we inspire each other. Take care! Lizzy
Ok, first, I remember when you wrote Damian’s oracle and there were like 2 or 3 comments. Now look at you, I get your book read and there is a big long page full! Good for you!!
Now, seriously, I hate you. Why do you have to leave me on a cliff hanger, you know how I feel about cliff hangers! Then you go and actually tell me that the next book won’t be out till 2012! That is just plain MEAN!
This book was awesome! I loved the whole thing (although I was slightly confused in the beginning because I thought he left her at Hannah’s). I loved the turn Jade made and that you killed him off – I hated that guy! I like how for the most part Kris and Rhyn are understanding each other at the end and thank goodness you didn’t kill of Katie – I would of really been ticked!
Anyway, you are a WONDERFUL writer with one of the best imaginations I have ever seen. LOVE YOUR BOOKS. Seriously I’ll pay for them… go see my goodreads review.
Hi Katie! I know, right?! I used to be lucky to get 3-5 comments a month, and now I get 5-20 comments a day! It’s so cool! You were my first rabid fan (which is why the series is named after you! Ha!)
So sorry to leave you all hanging!! :-/ I want to make sure the last Rhyn book and the last Damian book are both good, so I’m going to take more time to write them.
I’ll check out goodreads tonight! Yay and thank you!!
Lizzy
Lizzy Ford, OMG! I love your books I laughed sooo much, that emotion was more than the others i had the others though! Can’t wait for last one in Rhyn series, i’m in love with them both lol!
You truly are awesome and gifted! Geez! lol
I just want to say that I’m in love with all these characters!!!! Your stories draw me in like I’m there and its so refreshing to read a book that doesn’t have dry spots in it at all.
You are a wonderful writer and i would like to compliment you for you do your wonderful!!!
Thank you, Jedeni! I’m happy you’re enjoying the Rhyn books! I dig my characters, too. I like torturing them, so they have a chance to grow and prove themselves to me and the reader. If they fail, I kill them off. Hahahaha! Pardon my funky sense of humor. I did a short story about Gabriel, too. Not sure if you saw it. It’s part of a Halloween short story collection and is free on Smashwords. Click here if you want to read it! Lizzy
Just checked the IBooks store and they do not have Katie’s Hope yet. Do you know when it will be there?
I can’t find it in the Nook store either. I’m such a big fan of Lizzy’s work and was really looking forward to reading this book. Hopefully it’ll be up soon. Can’t wait to read it!
I’m so sorry, Dana! I guess there are some issues between my distributor and BN. :-/ I’m not sure what to do, but I can try to upload them myself if there’s still an issue next weekend. So sorry for the delay!! Lizzy
Any word about iBooks? I am trying to be patient, but it’s not going well! I have been waiting on this book!
hey i got the book from the free download link at the top of the page. It goes directly to it.
To the nook or IPad?
Hi Rormonster! Ok, so Katie’s Hope didn’t make it through the review process this week, so it’ll probably be next weekend before it’s on iBooks.
So sorry. Can you read PDFs on your apple device?? That might be a faster way. :-/ As for the Nook … something is really wrong between the edistributor and BN. They’re not connecting at all. It’s been several weeks since Kiera’s Moon should’ve appeared and it still hasn’t. I might try to upload Kiera and Katie’s Hope next week, if one of them doesnt’ appear. I dread doing that, though, because I can’t list them for free when I do it myself. (sigh) I’m doing my best!!!! Lizzy
Even if it can’t be free I’ll totally pay for the books.
It’s worth it since I love your work. ^_^
Thanks. I’ll wait. I did not for Kiera’s Moon and read it via the kindle app. It’s just not as pleasant of a read. I have plenty of work to do this week, do it’s probably good that it won’t be out until next week.
Just checked again. Katie’s Hope is still AWOL on iTunes.
Why does iBooks take so darn long? Grrrrr.
I know – I’m sorry. :-/ If it’s not there sometime Sunday, I’ll send my edistributor an email. For a few months, the distribution worked well. Slow, but well. The my books stopped making it to BN … I had to create an account to upload directly to BN, which means I couldn’t do it for free. I’ll have to do the same for ibooks in Dec, but I was hoping to wait til Dec, because I can’t price them for free if I don’t go through a third party … blah! I’ll keep checking iTunes, too … :-/ Hopefully it pops up by Sunday sometime!! Thanks for your patience!! Lizzy
NNNOOOOO!!! I cannot keep going without reading the third book!!! I finished K’s Hellion & K’s Hope in less than 20hrs (not counting all the “breaks”, like: going to work, sleep, hang out, and stuff). It is a nice work and I really liked it because it is not sappy as the usual romantic novel; it has its roller-coaster ride of emotions and a magnificent plot. I can’t wait until 2012!!! WAH!!!
Anyway, sorry for ranting, what I wanted to say is that I loved your work at first sight. Congratulations, Ms. Ford!
Hahaha … thank you, Lenneth! I’m happy you’ve enjoyed the Katie books!! Sorry about March – it’s the soonest I can have the third book ready!! I’m not into sappy romance novels, because life ain’t that pretty. Haha! Guess I like to torture my poor little characters and make them earn their happy endings! Thanks for reading and hang in there!!! Lizzy
Your most welcome, Lizzy:) And thanks, i will stay strong the more i read your books:D infact, the only way i DO get to learn all the ways we are supposed to adapt in life is only through books:) They are my everything…. n yes, seems like everyone does inspire the other n its what makes us more confident in what we do so always remember, there are always others you one doesn’t know that praise us for more than we are or what we do n im pretty sure you’re also counted in those people who are liked by more than what you are or what you do:D so never give up n and you’ll find yourself with all the support one needs to go through in this track of the world:D tc!:D oh n forgot to mention, i read the Rhyn trilogy:Origins n WOW! what a great history a character like Rhyn has; the more i read about him, the more i get inspired by it:) n it always seems something new to read:)
I Loved the book, gona seem a long wait until march for the next part. I have really enjoyed all your books finnished keira’s moon last night just loved it but will probably re-read as i read it so fast.
Awesome, Becky! Glad you’re enjoying the books!
March will come quickly – I have a few books planned for this fall. Yay! Lizzy
Well, Ibooks still does not have Katie’s Hope up yet. I re-read Katie’s Hellion this weekend in the hopes that I could get the book on Sunday. Any information would be helpful. I have the Ipad due to work, and the Ibooks app is a much nicer format for me. I am old school and I like the ‘turn’ the pages!! As one of your supporters on the kickstarter program, I have no problems paying for the book. I just want to read it. Thanks for the help and the replies. I am also anxiously awaiting the next in the Damian series as well. My biggest fear is that my patience will pay off and then I will finish the book in one day, leaving me bereft until the third book some out!
Hi Rormonster! I have no idea what happened with ibooks. Everything used to arrive like clockwork , but now, I have no idea. Nothing goes to BN anymore, but I thought Apple would be cool forever. (Total Apple fan!) If you want, send me your postal addy, and I’ll send you a book when they get in next week!
LizzyFord2010@gmail.com. Lizzy
It’s still not up, but Kiera’s Moon is and has been for some time. I checked and there is no one I can contact to ask about the book. Sorry!
Kiera’s Moon has been up on IBooks for several weeks. It showed up about a week or so after it came up on the kindle store. Wish we could figure out the deal with Katie’s Hope!
Hi Rormonster! I saw Katie’s Hope pop up when I checked iBooks today! Yay! I have no idea why this has been so frustrating lately.
It used to work well … blah!!!
I was just going to let you know that it is up, if you did not know yet. Yeah!
Of course, now I am getting an error when I try to download. It says try again later, and you KNOW I will!
It says error 104!
Sorry, error 1004.
So strange – I’ve gotten 3 reviews on it … is it a problem with iBooks??
(( Stupid modern technology ….
I don’t know and iBooks doesn’t have a contact. I’ll check for an update to the app. Thanks for all the help with this.
I was something weird on my device. Found a YouTube video by a preteen that said to change my date and time. Viola!
In order to download you had to change your date and time? Geez! Talk about not being intuitive or human friendly!!! I’m glad it worked but so sorry for the issues!! Lizzy
Initial reactions: I did not get far. I had a test in my martial arts class so I was pretty tired last night.
I am thoroughly enjoying the book. I am exasperated with Katie for keeping Rhyn at arms length. Without much time left, at least as we are lead to believe at this point, enjoy a little solace and happiness. As for Hannah, I am torn. Part of me hopes she gets to remain blissfully unaware. The other part waits for her veil of ignorance to be torn from her perfectly coiffed head so she can see how strong and brave her sister is.
I am having a bit of trouble following some of the twists, although I have a suspicion that is your intent.
The insight into some of the background characters is engaging, and I can not wait to get back to reading.
Lol … I saw your iBooks review!
I’m assuming it’s a thumbs up from Rormonster. Did the twists make sense when you reached the end?? I’m very unkind to my characters and my readers, aren’t I? Just kind of kidnap you and throw you into the middle of something … haha! Lizzy
Great book, just (*Spoiler*) Why wasn’t Kris aware why Gabe was at the sanctuary if he ordered the assassination? (*tried not to give too much away there*) Will this be answered in the third book? Also how come the book was not free on amazon.co.uk?
I was happy to pay the tiny amount i did for your great work but was annoyed to find it free elsewhere.
Muwahahahaha … yes, many mysteries.
Yes, your question will be answered in book 3! As for why it wasn’t free on Amazon UK … the short answer is: no one on the planet can figure out how and why Amazon does what it does. The long answer: as an indie author, I can’t make my books free myself when I upload them to Amazon. When and for how long they remain free appears to be something Amazon does on its own. They price match to the free versions I have on other websites – but only if and when they feel like it. I can’t explain it any better. For example, Damian’s Oracle has been free in the US for MONTHS. It goes free in the UK for about 4-6 weeks, falls off the free train, then hops back on. This doesn’t happen with any other of my novels – they go free for maybe 4 weeks, then they’re un-free again and rarely – if ever – hop back on the free train. My edistributor sends them everywhere but Amazon, and I can price them free when I go through the edistributor, except they don’t have a distribution agreement with Amazon. Soooo … I’m at the mercy of Amazon, and if you ask customer service to make your book free, they get very unhappy! The conspiracy theorist in me says Amazon won’t let all my books go free because I’m making them money, although my measly royalties (Amazon keeps 66%) don’t seem like much to them in the big picture. That was a bit convoluted. I really don’t know how else to explain the baffling issue … hahaha! I hope that … helps? clarifies? doesn’t make you run screaming away to find a new indie author to read? hahaha! Lizzy
Loving your evil laugh there
I just love your books!! I just finished reading katie’s hellion it was great. I have a nook and tried to locate katie’s hope and it’s not on the BN site. Do you know where I can go to down load it? I also down loaded kieras moon last week and I looked on BN site and it was no longer there. Just glad I down loaded that one when I did
Hi Lydia! Oy – I waited almost two weeks for BN to approve my account so I can upload my books directly to BN. I *hope* they’ll be on the Nook by the end of this week, but I’m not holding my breath. In the meantime, you should be able to download the ‘epub’ version from Smashwords, plug in your Nook to your computer, then manually drag-n-drop it to the Nook. Here’s the link to my books on Smashwords: click here and scroll to the bottom! So sorry – BN went wacky with my books when I released Kiera’s Moon, so I’m trying to get it corrected!!! Lizzy
Thank you so much Lizzy. I just finished the book and it was amazing!! Can’t wait till march. Just wanted to let you know I got my daughter and some co-workers hooked on your books.
That’s great, Lydia! Yay! If you want, send me an email, and I’ll send you whichever book is yoru fave! I try to reward folks who spread the word.

I stumbled across your books about katie a rhyn by complete accident and fell in love. I love how you learn more about each character as it goes along, and that the story keeps you on the edge for your seat while at the same time parts make you feel sad for them. Cant wait for Rhyn’s redemption. Keep up the good work. Now im going to find your other books.
Thank you, Natasha! I’m happy you’ve liked Katie and Rhyn. They’re an awesome couple to write about, just because the characters are so distinct and so well, conflicted. hahaha! Damian’ s Oracle is another fave for folks who have read the Rhyn trilogy. Thanks, and take care! Lizzy
Yeah just finished Damian’s oracle, I loved it. Im hoping you write more about these characters. Im on to Damian’s assasin now.
Thanks, Natasha! D’s Oracle and Katie’s Hellion are my two most popular books! I’m glad you liked it! Book three (Damian’s Immortal) will be out in December! Yay! Lizzy
