March’s novel: “The Warlord’s Secret”

As the third installment in my self-afflicted 12-books-in-12-months challenge, I’ll be releasing something a little different (and darker!)  “The Warlord’s Secret” is a fantasy romance piece set in a new world where multiple kingdoms are vying to conquer Tiyan, a tiny kingdom ruled by a troubled Queen and whose magical waters have the power to heal and prevent disease.    I anticipate releasing this one on 26 March or so.  Synopsis below!

The demon-possessed Queen of Tiyan is at war with enemy kingdoms and her own impending madness when she uncovers the answer to both her problems in Taran, a slave-turned-scout obsessed with vengeance.

  1. That sounds like another interesting plot right there and I am excited to read it already. And did you say one book for every month? Holy mackerel!
You have mind of steel! More kudos for you! I’m getting really impressed here. My first story took a full year to get done and I’ve been suffering of mental block ever since. But from reading your work I’m getting inspired again, all I have to do is ignore my job and I am all set. LOL

    • Hi Adle!!

Yes, 1 book a month is my goal!!! Lol … we’ll see if I survive the year …

I had mental block for a couple of years, mainly because my work/other goals consumed my personal goal/passion. I put aside my writing to finish college while working full time and commuting 2-3 hours a day all in the name of competing in the rat race. I thought I’d go crazy … writing is a compulsion for me and how I de-stress. I wrote when I could, but it was nearly impossible for awhile!! Kinda had to figure out what I wanted in life, which was a painful, three month conversation with myself! Once I knew the answer, I did my darndest to re-align my life. Cost me a husband, a secure career with a six figure job, and a life generally enviable … but sometimes, you just gotta follow your path. I took a job 2k miles away and left everything but my truck, my pets, and clothes. Started over … and am happier than I’ve ever been. I can write again and will write full-time hopefully someday soon, once I repair the financial damage I wreaked on my life … writing is what I’m meant to do, and by golly, I’ll get there, no many how many typos I make along the way … hahaha!

Rough road, though … lmao …

    • Hello, Dafeenah!

Alas, we haven’t found a good provider for a mailing list. The cheaper ones (or the free ones we found) look like they’ll spam anyone who signs up, which we don’t want. I absolutely hate spam and having my info sold to some third party, so I don’t want that for anyone following my books!! The more expensive mailing list providers cost more than I pay for my website every month … we’re still trying to figure this one out. About the only thing I can offer is to send out emails to folks who leave their email addys when they comment and/or contact us through the website. I’ll add you to the list! If you know of anyone who would like to receive updates, you’re welcome to provide them with my gmail addy so I can add them to the list! My gmail addy: lizzyford2010.

Oh, and thanks for the tweet!!! 🙂 I’m really happy you linked both books on your blog! Yay!

    • Hi Katie!

I’ve actually (finally, again!) got a mailing list. I can add you to it, and yes, I’ll send out an email when the next one is out!!

      Lizzy 🙂

    • Hello, Eesha!

Sure – I’ll definitely let you know when the next one is out!!! Thanks for taking the time to post!

      Lizzy 🙂
